We practiced drawing vertical lines. Practice making these lines at home.  They will help us with making letters and shapes.

 We learned about making a graph and created a graph to show how many boys and girls we have in our kindergarten classes. 

 Mrs. Kinsman came in and read the story, " Don't Eat Your Classmates". Ask. your child what the message in the story was. 

 We had gym with Mr. Der today. Ask your child what kind of movements they used in gym. 

 We had a special guest come and visit today. His name is ​Saa ko ko to, and he is an Indigenous elder. We practiced many words in Blackfoot He told us a story about a mouse. (AM) and a story about a coyote (PM) What lesson did your child learn from the story? 

 Tomorrow is AM Kindergarten. No school for PM kindergarten. AM kindergarten will be going on a walk in our community. Please ensure your child is dressed appropriately for the weather and has good walking shoes on.

Today was an outstanding day in Kindergarten.  We talked about what makes up a community and the interesting places we can find right in our own community of Tuscany.  We continued to explore community helpers and the jobs they do in our community.  We completed a journal response where we drew a picture of what we want to be when we grow up. Our arrival centers included a chance to explore shapes.  We built buildings with shapes, used plasticine & toothpicks to make 3-D shapes, used geo-boards & elastics to make shapes and played shape roll & write.  Please ask your child what shape center they explored today. Please note the learning commons is closed this week for book exchange due to the set up of the book fair.
