Literacy Learning Intentions:

Math Learning Intentions:
1. I can subitizes (recognize at a glance) and name familiar arrangements of 1 to 5 objects or dots.
2. I can relate a numeral, 1 to 10, to its respective quantity.
3. I can represent and describe numbers 2 to 10, concretely and pictorially. 

Environment and Community Awareness:
1. I can use materials in the environment and community.
2. I can demonstrate a curiosity, an interest and a willingness to learn about the environment and community.

3. I can explore familiar places and things in the environment and community.

Literacy: Fairy House / Fairy Garden
Materials - white visual journal, pencil, pencil crayons

option #1. View the video How to draw a fairy house and follow along in your visual journal OR
option #2. Plan out and then sketch your own fairy garden (see examples below):



 


Challenge: Create your own fairy garden in an old pot or container and/or make a fairy door. Use materials such as dirt, leaves, twigs, rocks, gems, buttons, etc. Make sure you ask mom or dad first 😁.







Math: Superhero Sums of 10
Materials - blue math journal or piece of paper, pencil, manipulatives (buttons, tokens, gems, rocks, pom poms, etc)


Count the number of blue dots first and print the number. Next, count the number of purple dots and print the number. Last, create a addition sentence for this 10 frame. 
Example: 6 + 4 =10 

Try the next 4 on your own!
Challenge: What would be addition sentence if you switched the order of colors? 
(ie. 6 blue + 4 purple = 10 dots / 4 purple + 6 blue = 10 dots)
*Remember the answer will always be 10.
