We worked in our Winter, Winter, What Do You See? We are finishing up the final steps of our books.
We are working on volleyball skills in gym.
We read, "Do Frogs Drink Hot Chocolate? How Animals Keep Warm. We talked about what animals do in winter to stay warm. We also watched a video that talked about how animals use their fur and feathers to keep them warm.
We worked on a math problem. There are 3 animals under the snow. How many legs are there? Ask your child to show you their thinking and explain how they came to the answer.
Please help your child to practice the winter song at home.

Friday is an AM Friday - there is no school for PM Kindergarten.
Scientist in the School has been rescheduled for Monday February 10th. If you are able to volunteer to help with the presentation, please email your child's teacher. We are looking for 6 volunteers for AM and 6 volunteers for PM Kindergarten to help with the science experiments.
***Please DO NOT pay for the Scientists In the Classroom . Due to rescheduling, they have given us the program for FREE. The office is working at refunding for those who have already paid. ****
We will be celebrating Valentine's Day in Kindergarten on Wednesday February 12th. Feb 12th will be red, pink and white day in Kindergarten, please dress in these colors if you have them!
If you are planning to send valentines with your child, please have your child sign their name only on the card. Please leave the "To" space blank. This makes it easier for your child to hand out the valentines. AM kindergarten has 40 friends and PM kindergarten has 37 friends.
There is no school Thursday Feb 13, Friday Feb 14 and Monday February 17th, for teacher's convention and the family day long weekend.
AM Kindergarten will host their Winter Celebration of Learning at 11:00am on Feb 28. PM Kindergarten will host their Winter Celebration of Learning at 11:00am on March 6.
