Welcome to Kindergarten! aka the Hope Pod 🐇

Today we introduced arrival centers. Our arrival centers this week will include: sorting, developing fine motor skills, alphabet and name activities. We are working on identifying, printing and spelling our names. Please practice this at home with your child.

Mrs. Mask's classes (Blue/ Yellow) went to gym with Mr. Der.
Mrs. Conley (Red)  and Mrs. Watterson's (Green) class went to music with Mrs. Coulson.
Ask your child something they learned about in gym or music class.

We read, "I Like Myself" and practiced how to draw a complete picture of ourselves adding details and proper colours.

This Friday is AM kindergarten morning. No school for PM kindergarten classes.

Your school information package was sent home today with your child in their coloured folder. Please read through all forms, sign and return as soon as possible.

Today was an outstanding day in Kindergarten.  We talked about what makes up a community and the interesting places we can find right in our own community of Tuscany.  We continued to explore community helpers and the jobs they do in our community.  We completed a journal response where we drew a picture of what we want to be when we grow up. Our arrival centers included a chance to explore shapes.  We built buildings with shapes, used plasticine & toothpicks to make 3-D shapes, used geo-boards & elastics to make shapes and played shape roll & write.  Please ask your child what shape center they explored today. Please note the learning commons is closed this week for book exchange due to the set up of the book fair.
