At arrival centers we had to sort using all kinds of different loose parts. Practice at home. How many ways can you sort the same items?

We discussed the letter P. What sound does P make? Ask your child to practice it at home. We read Pete the Cat and practiced printing the letter P in our journals and drew our favorite part from the story. 

Mrs. Mask's classes had music.
Mrs. Conley's and Mrs. Watterson's classes had gym.
What did they learn today?

Mrs. Conley's class is presenting their happiness museum. We had a few students present what makes them happy.

The PM classes went outside for a listening walk today. What sounds did your child notice? Can your family take a listening walk together sometime this week?

Picture Day photos went home today for PM classes. AM classes will receive their order forms tomorrow.

Today was an outstanding day in Kindergarten.  We talked about what makes up a community and the interesting places we can find right in our own community of Tuscany.  We continued to explore community helpers and the jobs they do in our community.  We completed a journal response where we drew a picture of what we want to be when we grow up. Our arrival centers included a chance to explore shapes.  We built buildings with shapes, used plasticine & toothpicks to make 3-D shapes, used geo-boards & elastics to make shapes and played shape roll & write.  Please ask your child what shape center they explored today. Please note the learning commons is closed this week for book exchange due to the set up of the book fair.
