We continued to work on our fall tree art piece today. Students had to make lines with sharpies on a piece of paper then rip the paper into the trunks of the trees.
Ripping paper is excellent way to practice fine motor skills. Allow opportunities at home for your child to rip up recycled newspapers and flyers etc.
We are learning about our sense of hearing. We listened to a variety of noises and students had to decided if they liked the sound or not. Students made a graph and used a check or an x in their visual journal under yes or no.
All classes attended gym. What did your child learn in gym today?
We have been practicing the poem, The Fall Basket. Please refer to the picture below and practice reading at home.

The most important homework in kindergarten is reading together!
*Read when your child asks you too and make sure your child can see the book easily.
Please check your child's backpacks and outdoor clothing to make sure it all belongs to them. We are currently looking for a pair of gray Oshkosh snowpants and Kombi happy face mittens. Thank you.
