Monday December 16

Today we had Christmas craft centers. We had the chance to paint reindeer, cut out trees for a snowy forest, make a gingerbread man or a Santa hat Christmas card, a green yarn tree with pompoms or a paper tree.  It was great to see everyone being so merry as they crafted! Thank you to the parent volunteers who came to help us with the glue guns! We appreciate the help!

Mrs. Mask's classes had music and Mrs. Conley's class played in the hub and Mrs. Watterson's class had gym.

The gym will not be available to students tomorrow so Kindergarten will be going outside. Please dress your child appropriately!

We played math games. We play go fish, power of ten, splat and our number line game.

Tomorrow is Christmas Sweater day! Thank you to everyone who wore Christmas socks. We love to see everyone so festive!

On Wednesday, Dec.18 Food Impact will be doing a short presentation and making a yogurt parfait with all of our Kindergarten students. Please note that the cost of the program is $5 per student which will be part of your kindergarten field trip fees. Unfortunately the fees are not available online yet to pay but should be in the new year. Please DO NOT send any money to school.

We will be using yogurt, bananas, berries, WOWBUTTER, oats, flaxseeds, chia seeds, hemp hearts, and honey. If your students have any allergies to these items, please let us know immediately. Please note that the WOWBUTTER contains soy.

On Thursday we will be challenging the students to make a trap to catch an elf. We are asking families to send some of the following paper towel rolls, cracker boxes, cereal boxes,  tinsel, bubble wrap, ribbon, bows etc.  If you could send them in on Thursday that would be greatly appreciated.

The last day of school before the Christmas holidays is Thursday, December 19.  There is no school Friday, December 20.  School resumes Tuesday, January 7th, 2020.
