We practiced creating, extending and copying pattern during arrival center. We are identifying the core of the pattern and then creating patterns (AB, AAB, ABB, ABC, ABBC etc)
We had Mr. Kelly come and work with us on a special painting project. He entertained us with stories and showed us different painting techniques using plastic wrap and salt.
The AM students learned about using number lines and practiced making a human number lines and counted forwards and backwards from 1-10 and 10-1.
The PM kindergarten students showcased what they have learned in the Green Fools Residency. The students did an amazing job demonstrating their circus skills. Thank you to all the parents who came to be our audience!! (Sorry we forgot to take pictures of the afternoon during the showcase!)
AM Kindergarten classes will be in the Thunder Dome from 11:00am – 12:00pm; with families invited from 11:15am – 11:45am.
The PM kindergarten drew in our journals about our favorite Jan Brett story we have read so far. Ask your child about their favourite story. Have them retell the story and ask about the setting and characters.
Tomorrow is Ms. Standings last day for 2019. She will be back with us after the Family Day Holiday. We have enjoyed having her in our classroom teaching us and look forward to having her back in February.
Tomorrow is AM kindergarten. Please remember to bring a small stuffy for our wonder time building challenge.
