Thursday December 5

Today we cut and coloured the characters for the mitten. We will be working on retelling the story of the mitten on Monday. What are the characters we find in the story?

Mr. Kelly came in today and reminded us about how we can draw anything if we can draw simple shapes. He entertained us with his stories! We love when Mr. Kelly joins us for some fine arts time. The children did an awesome job with their drawings!

The AM students drew superheroes and the PM students drew The Grinch.

We went to Green Fools and practiced using a variety of equipment to do some juggling and balance work.
**Parents are invited to come, watch and join in with the PM students during our gym time on Thursday November 12th from 1:20-1:50pm. Parents can join the AM students on Friday November 13th (time to be determined) **

We had fun snack and it was from Kernels.

Candy Cane the Kindness Elf wrote us a note today about being kind to others. He asked that we introduce ourselves and play with a new friend today. We played splat with a friend. Ask your child who they played with.

Dates to Remember :

There is no school December 6th as it is a PD Day.
Friday December 13th is AM Kindergarten.
Last day of school before Christmas holidays is Thursday December 19th.
School resumes Tuesday January 7th, 2020.

Today was an outstanding day in Kindergarten.  We talked about what makes up a community and the interesting places we can find right in our own community of Tuscany.  We continued to explore community helpers and the jobs they do in our community.  We completed a journal response where we drew a picture of what we want to be when we grow up. Our arrival centers included a chance to explore shapes.  We built buildings with shapes, used plasticine & toothpicks to make 3-D shapes, used geo-boards & elastics to make shapes and played shape roll & write.  Please ask your child what shape center they explored today.
