Tuesday December 10

We read Gingerbread baby by Jan Brett. We talked about the setting and characters in the story. Ms. Standing gave us pictures of setting and characters and we had to decide whether they were in the story or not.

AM- We practiced making patterns. We talked about how a pattern has the same core that repeats. Can you make a pattern at home with 2 and 3 parts?

PM- We looked at the number 2 and used our math journals to come up with where we find 2 in our world. We talked about how the number two is represented and where we find it. See if you can find examples at home.

AM kindergarten practiced a fire drill. We had to be safe, silent and serious and we did a great job at getting out of the school safely.

The AM kindergarten trip to the vet has been cancelled for December 19th as the vet needed that day for a surgery. Both AM/PM has been rescheduled for Monday January 20th.


Friday December 13 is an AM kindergarten morning.  For Friday, please bring a small stuffie for our building wonder time. It needs to no bigger than 4" (ie. beanie boo keychain). Please refer to the picture below for size comparison.

Green Fools Celebration Times
PM Kindergarten classes will have families invited during their regular Physical Education time from 1:20pm – 1:50pm on Thursday, Dec.12.

 AM Kindergarten classes will be in the Thunder Dome from 11:00am – 12:00pm; with families invited from 11:15am – 11:45am.
Dates to Remember :
Last day of school before Christmas holidays is Thursday December 19th.
School resumes Tuesday January 7th, 2020.

Today was an outstanding day in Kindergarten.  We talked about what makes up a community and the interesting places we can find right in our own community of Tuscany.  We continued to explore community helpers and the jobs they do in our community.  We completed a journal response where we drew a picture of what we want to be when we grow up.
