Wednesday December 4

Today we read the story "The Mitten" by Jan Brett. We talked about the setting in a story. What does setting mean? What was the setting in the mitten?
Read a story tonight and have your child tell you about the setting in the story.

We continued to strengthen our fine motor skills by sewing yarn around the shape of a mitten.  We are excited to use this mitten shape as be begin to work on re-telling the story of the mitten.  Many thanks to the mom's who helped us to cut, hole punch and tie yarn onto the mittens!  We appreciate the help.

We went to Green Fools. The children are working on juggling and balancing with a variety of different items. Ask your child what their favorite activity has been.

We read the story Friendshape. What was the message of the story?

The PM class read the story, "Ten Black Dots" and played the game splat. We used 10 counters to play the game.  Ask your child how to play the game and play at home.

There is no school December 6th as it is a PD Day.
Friday December 13th is AM Kindergarten.
Last day of school before Christmas holidays is Thursday December 19th.
School resumes Tuesday January 7th, 2020.

As a reminder, please do not park in the staff parking lot to pick up or drop off your child. Please  walk around the lot. There is plenty of parking on the street and we want to ensure the safety of all of our students and families. Thank you for being considerate.
