Today we read Pattern Bugs and we noticed patterns in actions and words. We then created an "easy"pattern and a more "challenging " pattern. Ask me what type of pattern I made and what the "core" is.

Mrs. Southworth came in and spoke to us about Zones of Regulation. We looked at pictures of different facial expressions and discussed what the red zone, yellow zone and green zones are. Ask me to tell you all about the zones.

We had some parent volunteers and helped us design our mittens today. We can't wait to test them out next week. Thank you volunteers - we definitely needed you today with all of our creativity!
  • AM kindergarten will design on Monday. If you have any materials such as packing materials, bubble wrap, fabric, cotton batting etc. to assist  in our creations, please send them to school on Monday. Thank you !

We would like to start our home reading program soon so please ensure all of the colored folders are returned ASAP as these will be used more frequently to take home reading books home and then back to school to exchange. Details to follow.

Today was an outstanding day in Kindergarten.  We talked about what makes up a community and the interesting places we can find right in our own community of Tuscany.  We continued to explore community helpers and the jobs they do in our community.  We completed a journal response where we drew a picture of what we want to be when we grow up. Our arrival centers included a chance to explore shapes.  We built buildings with shapes, used plasticine & toothpicks to make 3-D shapes, used geo-boards & elastics to make shapes and played shape roll & write.  Please ask your child what shape center they explored today.
