We started our morning with making patterns. We created an "easy"pattern and a more "challenging " pattern. Ask me what type of pattern I made and what the "core" is.

AM Kindergarten designed their mittens. Thank you volunteers - we definitely needed you today with all of our creativity! It was so busy we forgot to take pictures. Ask your child what their mitten looks like and what materials they used.

Mrs. Mask's classes had music and Mrs. Conley and Mrs. Watterson's classes had gym.

PM kindergarten tested their mittens in the snow. We had to fill out our criteria before trying our mitten in the snow and afterwards. After we experimented in the snow we had to talk about what we would change for next time. Ask your child what changes they would make.

We also looked at the letter g. What sound does it make? Can you find words that begin with the letter g when you are out and about? What would you find at the grocery store?

This Friday is AM kindergarten.

    Today was an outstanding day in Kindergarten.  We talked about what makes up a community and the interesting places we can find right in our own community of Tuscany.  We continued to explore community helpers and the jobs they do in our community.  We completed a journal response where we drew a picture of what we want to be when we grow up. Our arrival centers included a chance to explore shapes.  We built buildings with shapes, used plasticine & toothpicks to make 3-D shapes, used geo-boards & elastics to make shapes and played shape roll & write.  Please ask your child what shape center they explored today.
