We had so much fun visiting the Vet Clinic. We learned about how the vet takes care of pets. The Tuscany Vet clinic only takes care of dogs and cats. We saw a stuffy who was getting ready to have an operation, we learned all about the tools the vet uses to take care of the dogs and cats. We saw a stuffy that was getting ready to have it's teeth cleaned. It was interesting to learn about the tools needed to clean animal teeth. Some of the tools look the same as tools we've seen in the dentist office before. We liked looking at the x-ray of the dogs back, legs and tail. The dog had some stones in it's belly that needed to be taken out. Please ask your child to share about their adventure to the vet!

A reminder to send home reading folder back daily. The children are doing a great job with their home reading and learning to switch their books. Thank you for the support !

The folder also had a notice inside about the Survivor Wine Draw which is being run by Eric Harvie School Council. All proceeds will go to the Eric Harvie Enhancement Society.

Scholastic Book orders went home today (except for Blue group). Book orders are due Monday, January 27.

We have enough glass jar for our project. Thank you for sending bottles in!  :)

This Friday is a PM Kindergarten day.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!  Kindergarten was very fun today.  All of our arrival centers were about Halloween. We printed halloween words, played bingo, roll and count game with rings, crafts etc. We loved seeing everyone dressed up in their costumes!  We drew pictures of ourselves in our Halloween costumes in our journals.  Some of us drew pictures of pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, and trick or treating with our families.  We used Smarties to sort by color and graph the number of Smarties in the box.  Ask your child what color they had most in their box.  After students graphed their Smarties, they got to eat them.  This was the highlight of their day! All students had gym today with Mr. Der . What game did your child play today? Ask them to share. Students came home with overflowing colored folders.  Please empty the folders out and return them on Monday.  Every child has more book circles in their folders.  Thank you for continuing to read with your child and send the circles back.  We are

Learning Intentions for the Week -  Early Literacy   I can express ideas and develop my understanding by sharing personal experiences. I can identify my favourite stories and books. I can use drawings to illustrate ideas and information, and talk about them. Learning Intentions for the Week -  Numeracy / N umber Sense I can represent and describe numbers 2 to 10, concretely and pictorially. I can relate a numeral, 1 to 10, to its respective quantity.
