Morning Kindergarten was happy to welcome Ms. Pickford back into our classroom. Ms. Pickford is a first year education student from MRU and will be with us on Wednesday mornings for the next 10 weeks. Welcome back Ms. Pickford!
AM Kindergarten read, "How to Catch a Snowman" and brainstormed ideas to catch a snowman. We drew in our journals and wrote along with our picture. All of us are doing a wonderful job putting down the letter sounds we hear when writing.
PM Kindergarten read, "Sneezy the Snowman". What happened in the story?
We did a guided drawing of a snowman in our visual journals. The children added a pattern on the snowman's hat.
We looked at the number 3 today. We practiced drawing the number 3 and writing the word 3 in our math journals. We went on a number 3 scavenger hunt in the classroom to find 3. We learned that you can use 2 and 1 to make the number 3.
We had gym today. We are practicing our basketball skills and tried dribbling on the line. It was hard work!
The PM students have a few parent volunteers in this afternoon helping us. Thank you for coming and for all that you do! Kindergarten is very lucky to have such supportive parents! Thank you!

We are thrilled to see so many of our Kindergarten friends enjoying their first home reading books! We love to see how excited they are to exchange books and bring a new one home!
We are looking for any items you may wish to donate to our Home Reading prize bin such as pencil , stickers, leftover loot bag bag birthday party items, McDonalds happy meal toys, etc. (these items do not need to be new. ) Thank you!

The BLUE group is still looking for a volunteer to help with the trip to vet on Monday January 20th. If you are able to volunteer, please send Mrs. Mask an email.
