Today was a very busy day in Kindergarten with our Celebration of learning. The kindergarten students have worked very hard these past few months preparing work to share with the school and families. The children spent the morning, sharing their learning with the rest of the school. They were responsible for leading a group of students around the hub and share their learning.

We want to say a huge thank you to all the families for coming and supporting us today! It was so wonderful to see the children so engaged and excited to share their learning with you all.

Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!  Kindergarten was very fun today.  All of our arrival centers were about Halloween. We printed halloween words, played bingo, roll and count game with rings, crafts etc. We loved seeing everyone dressed up in their costumes!  We drew pictures of ourselves in our Halloween costumes in our journals.  Some of us drew pictures of pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, and trick or treating with our families.  We used Smarties to sort by color and graph the number of Smarties in the box.  Ask your child what color they had most in their box.  After students graphed their Smarties, they got to eat them.  This was the highlight of their day! All students had gym today with Mr. Der . What game did your child play today? Ask them to share. Learning Intentions for the Week -  Early Literacy   I can express ideas and develop my understanding by sharing personal experiences. I can identify my favourite stories and books. I can use drawings to illustrate ideas and information, and talk about them. Learning Intentions for the Week -  Numeracy / N umber Sense I can represent and describe numbers 2 to 10, concretely and pictorially. I can relate a numeral, 1 to 10, to its respective quantity. I can compare quantities 1 to 10, using one-to-one correspondence. We have continued to post a daily read aloud in the read aloud section which is located on the left hand side of the blogger.
