Friday February 7
Today was a fun day at school. We began the morning by re-reading the story "Do Frogs Drink Hot Chocolate?". This is such a fun book as it helped us to further investigate how animals stay warm in the winter. We created flip books where we could ask our own question about how animals stay warm in winter. Ask your child what their question was and what the answer is to the question. We learned the words "yes" and "no" and practiced writing these words in our flip books.
We also began painting a trifold that we are going to use to make an interactive winter scene for our celebration. We had fun painting such a big piece of art!
We had centers and snack. We continue to work hard on our poems and song for the celebration of learning. Please help your child to practice the Seven Feet of Snow song.

We will be celebrating Valentine's Day in Kindergarten on Wednesday February 12th. Feb 12th will be red, pink and white day in Kindergarten, please dress in these colors if you have them!
If you are planning to send valentines with your child, please have your child sign their name only on the card. Please leave the "To" space blank. This makes it easier for your child to hand out the valentines. AM kindergarten has 40 friends and PM kindergarten has 37 friends.
There is no school Thursday Feb 13, Friday Feb 14 and Monday February 17th, for teacher's convention and the family day long weekend.
AM Kindergarten will host their Winter Celebration of Learning at 11:00am on Feb 28. PM Kindergarten will host their Winter Celebration of Learning at 11:00am on March 6.
Scientist in the school has been re-scheduled for Monday. We are looking forward to a fun filled time at school as we continue to explore Winter through science experiments. Thank you to all the volunteers who have agreed to help us out, we appreciate your time!
