We went to our last session of "Who Do You Tell ?" We reviewed what we learned about last week and did a few other activities. Ask your child what they learned about. 

We read a Valentine's Story and talked about how do you show kindness. We drew in our journals to represent our ideas using our 5 Star Drawing. (Colours make sense, color in the lines, use many colors, take your time and add many details). We decorated our Valentine's Day bags.

BLUE and YELLOW group went to music.

We will be celebrating Valentine's Day in Kindergarten on Wednesday February 12th.  Feb 12th will be red, pink and white day in Kindergarten, please dress in these colors if you have them!
If you are planning to send valentines with your child, please have your child sign their name only on the card.  Please leave the "To" space blank.  This makes it easier for your child to hand out the valentines.  AM kindergarten has 40 friends and PM kindergarten has 37 friends. 

There is no school Thursday Feb 13, Friday Feb 14 and Monday February 17th, for teacher's convention and the family day long weekend.

AM Kindergarten will host their Winter Celebration of Learning at 11:00am on Feb 28.  PM Kindergarten will host their Winter Celebration of Learning at 11:00am on March 6.

Today was an outstanding day in Kindergarten.  We talked about what makes up a community and the interesting places we can find right in our own community of Tuscany.  We continued to explore community helpers and the jobs they do in our community.  We completed a journal response where we drew a picture of what we want to be when we grow up. Our arrival centers included a chance to explore shapes.  We built buildings with shapes, used plasticine & toothpicks to make 3-D shapes, used geo-boards & elastics to make shapes and played shape roll & write.  Please ask your child what shape center they explored today.
