Today was an outstanding day in Kindergarten. We talked about what makes up a community and the interesting places we can find right in our own community of Tuscany. We continued to explore community helpers and the jobs they do in our community. We completed a journal response where we drew a picture of what we want to be when we grow up. Our arrival centers included a chance to explore shapes. We built buildings with shapes, used plasticine & toothpicks to make 3-D shapes, used geo-boards & elastics to make shapes and played shape roll & write. Please ask your child what shape center they explored today. Please note the learning commons is closed this week for book exchange due to the set up of the book fair. There is NO school Thursday Nov 21 and Friday Nov 22 for Kindergarten due to parent teacher interviews. Please book a conference to discuss your child's progress with their responsibility teacher. We worked in our Winter, Winter, What Do You See? We are finishing up the final steps of our books. We are working on volleyball skills in gym. We read, "Do Frogs Drink Hot Chocolate? How Animals Keep Warm. We talked about what animals do in winter to stay warm. We also watched a video that talked about how animals use their fur and feathers to keep them warm. We worked on a math problem. There are 3 animals under the snow. How many legs are there? Ask your child to show you their thinking and explain how they came to the answer.
