Monday March 9
Today was a busy day at school. The AM learners read the story "When Will It Be Spring?" and made predictions as to how we will know when it is Spring. The PM learners read "I Will Know It's Spring" and made their Spring predictions. We also built math puzzles using the number words, dots, objects and the number. We worked together as a team to build the math puzzles.
The PM classes went to gym and music. Please ask your child what they did in music or gym.
AM kindergarten went to the kick off assembly for the Read-a-thon! It was a great assembly and we are very excited to read across Canada. Learners have brought home pink order forms if you are interested in participating in the Read-a-thon fundraiser. Forms and money are due tomorrow and photos will be taken on Wednesday. Sorry for the short turn around on the forms.
Please check out the EHS Read-a-thon website! Our goal at EHS this week is to read across Canada! Please use the website to record your child's reading minutes each day. Reading each day can include reading home reading books as well as listening to stories read aloud by someone else (mom, dad, grandma, grandpa, older sibling, etc..)

AM Kindergarten will be going to Fish Creek Park on Friday. Learners will need to bring a lunch, snack and a water bottle. We will be meeting at the front doors of the school at 8:20am and will return to school at 1:30pm. Please make sure your child is dressed for the weather as we will be outside for the majority of the morning. Thank you to those parents who have volunteered to join us on this trip! We appreciate your help!
There is no school on Friday for PM Kindergarten.
