Good afternoon everyone,

We have created a scavenger hunt for you to do over the next few days. After you do our scavenger hunt can you make your own for someone in your family to try? Draw pictures or try and sound out the words to your items.

Make sure to tidy up all your items after you find them all :)



Indoor Scavenger Hunt

  • A toy with wheels
  • a book with the first letter of your name in the title
  • a pair of matching socks
  • 4 things that are red
  • a toy smaller than your hand
  • something that is round
  • a book with numbers in it
  • 5 legos (or toys ) that are all different
  • a photo of someone you love
  • a toy that has 5 different colors
  • 3 things that are the same
  • find a word in your pantry you can read (i.e Cheerios etc)
  • cut out a word you know how to spell from flyers or old magazines


Outdoor Scavenger Hunt

  • a stick that is longer than your hand
  • find a letter in nature
  • write your name with sticks, rocks or in the snow
  • a unique rock
  • something that is brown
  • something that is heavy
  • something that is very light
  • an item smaller than your thumb
  • something that starts with an "m"
  • make a pattern with found items 
  • find 5 objects and place from smallest to biggest
  • How old are you? Find that number of the same items.

Today was an outstanding day in Kindergarten.  We talked about what makes up a community and the interesting places we can find right in our own community of Tuscany.  We continued to explore community helpers and the jobs they do in our community.  We completed a journal response where we drew a picture of what we want to be when we grow up. Our arrival centers included a chance to explore shapes.  We built buildings with shapes, used plasticine & toothpicks to make 3-D shapes, used geo-boards & elastics to make shapes and played shape roll & write.  Please ask your child what shape center they explored today. Please note the learning commons is closed this week for book exchange due to the set up of the book fair.
