Tuesday March 3

Today we read, "Tracks in the Snow." We shared our understanding of hibernate, migrate and adapt.  We drew pictures in our inquiry journal of an animal that hibernates, adapts and migrates.  Lastly, we talked about what we know about hibernate, migrate and adapt.

We had music and gym today. In music we played the xylophones and in gym we played "Ships Ahoy" and continued with our racquet skills.

This Friday is the Celebration of Learning for the PM class. There is no AM Kindergarten on Friday.  The celebration will begin at 11:00am and the doors will open at 10:55am.

Friday, March 13th is the AM field trip to Fish Creek. We will be leaving at 8:20am and returning at 1:30pm.

Today was an outstanding day in Kindergarten.  We talked about what makes up a community and the interesting places we can find right in our own community of Tuscany.  We continued to explore community helpers and the jobs they do in our community.  We completed a journal response where we drew a picture of what we want to be when we grow up. Our arrival centers included a chance to explore shapes.  We built buildings with shapes, used plasticine & toothpicks to make 3-D shapes, used geo-boards & elastics to make shapes and played shape roll & write.  Please ask your child what shape center they explored today.
