While we had hoped that Blogger would allow you as parents to easily post pictures and/or comment, we have learnt today that this is not the case.  If you're child is still interested in sending us a picture, please email your responsibility teacher. Please be patient as we continue to work through this new online learning journey together.

Literacy
Materials: computer or iPad, paper, pencil, crayons/markers/pencil crayons, blue journal

Read a loud - Please choose one of the previous read alouds that are posted on the blog.

After listening to at story, do a writing response. Why did you like that story? What was your favourite part? Draw a picture to answer the question. Try and sound out words to go with your pictures.  Remember your 5 Star drawing and writing.

Math
Materials: Deck of Cards

War
Take your deck of cards and share them equally between two players. Have the cards face down and flip over at the same time. Each player will call out their number. Whoever has the largest number takes the cards and places them off to the side. Have your child say as they pick up the cards "9 is bigger than 5 ". Once a player no longer has cards the game is over. You can play the game again with the person with the lowest number wins the cards.

Challenge of the Day
Materials: be creative use what you find at home!

Build a house for your favorite stuffy! What materials will you use? Where will you build it?

Question of the Day - make sure to watch our video message later today for more instruction
Materials: blue journal (flipped over to math label side)
