Thank you to all of our families this week for helping your child get set up on google meet. It has been so great to connect with everyone and see those smiling faces! We sure do miss all of you. We will be sending out an email today with a sign up genius link for next week. For our meet, we will be asking the children to do a show and share with their classmates. Please have your child practice speaking about the one item that they will be sharing. (ie. what is it? where did you get it from?, what do you like to do with it? why is it special?)
Morning Message - Please watch and enjoy!
April 17 morning message
Literacy
Materials - Paper, pencil, materials to create a bridge, toys
Watch Video here: The Three Billy Goats Gruff
Listen to the story, The Three Billy Goats Gruff. After the story, you will take your pencil and paper and draw your own troll. What does he look like? Is he big or small? Is he friendly or grumpy?
After you have drawn your troll, you need to create a bridge for the troll to live under. What materials will it be made out of? Can it hold up the billy goats gruff?
After you have made your bridge, find 3 toys to go over the bridge. Will the bridge hold up?
Extension: Retell the story of The Billy Goats Gruff. Use your troll, the bridge and toys to act out the events in the story. Have fun retelling the story and try using different voices for the characters.
