Friday April 3

Happy Friday! Kindergarten - we want to thank you all for your hard work over this past week and a huge thank you to your parents for all their time and effort with helping you out at home. We would love to hear from all you if you have not yet shared a photo with us. We really would just love to see your smiling face! We miss you all and just want to check in and make sure everyone is doing well!

Literacy
Materials - paper and pencil

Go on an alphabet hunt around your house. Can you draw, write words or sound out items that you find? Can you find at least 10 items?

Math
Materials - Deck of Cards

Hi Low
It is the same rules as war except instead of turning over 1 card, each player turns over 2 cards and adds them up. The player with the higher answer wins. Have your child practice counting on from the biggest number (for example : 7 is bigger than 5. So start at 7 - say 7 and count on using the card 7... 8, 9, 10, 11, 12. )

See Mrs. Mask explain how to count on below:

Challenge of the Day
Materials: board game of your choice
Play a board game with your family. If you don't have a board game then create your own out of materials in your house. What kind of game would it be?

Question of the Day:

Can you show kindness to someone else?

That could be:
-Make a special note or  craft for someone in your family or neighborhood
-Post a note in your window
-Make your mom or dad lunch
-Help out with a chore at home

Over the weekend, we have a scavenger hunt for you to try! Have fun with your family. Continue to read and get outside and enjoy the snow.
