Materials - white visual journal, pencil, scissors, glue or tape, green piece of paper, green pencil crayon/marker/crayon, and your imagination.
Please watch the story, followed by a shared group activity, and then instructions on your literacy task:
Jack and the Beanstalk

2. using scissors, snip small cuts along the bottom of the green paper to create a "fringe" effect
3. glue the grass down at the bottom of your page
4. draw some "magical seeds" of your choice
5. draw a long, winding beanstalk - don't forget the leaves
6. draw what you find at the top of your beanstalk

Math
Making Sets and Counting On
Materials - groups of similar objects that you find in your house (ex: spoons, lego, stuffies, books, socks, etc.)
Please watch the video on making sets here:
Making Sets and Counting On
Now it's your turn to make sets for the numbers 1-10. Please remember that each set of objects needs to be the same, for example 3 spoons, 4 forks, 5 pencils.
After your child has made the sets, please use the #10 set to practice the skill of counting on from a number. Place 5 objects and ask your child to turn the set into a set of 7.
If your child is feeling very confident at making sets and counting on, please encourage them to do the same activity but with the numbers 11-15 or even 11-20.
Challenge of the Day
Materials - anything that you have that you have multiple of (ie. utensils, books, socks, toys, etc)
Can you make a pattern? Can you build an AB pattern (2 elements)? How about an ABC pattern (3 elements)? Try a challenging pattern such as AAB or AABBCC? Be creative about what you use to make patterns with!

What Makes You Feel Loved?
My family makes me feel loved. Charlotte and Luke give the best hugs and make me laugh all the time!
Charlotte and Luke doing what they love best. Finding puddles to jump in on our daily walks.
(Luke needs a haircut but Mrs. Mask is too afraid to do it herself 🙂)
The number one thing that makes me feel loved is my family! I love when we can laugh together and be silly. This picture was taken at a family wedding. Leah was the flower girl and she was super excited! We had such a fun time! Right now, we are spending lots of time together, playing board games, watching movies, reading, doing puzzles and going for walks in the ravine.
