My Favourite Place to Read

Journals

Draw your favourite place to read in your house. What does it look like? How does it make you feel? Why is it your favourite place?

Make sure to add lots of details in your drawings and try and write a sentence. My favourite place to read is ______ because _____.

The ability to make a ten out of the numbers is a math skill that will help your child with addition and subtraction. Set out cards and have your child combine them to make as many tens as they can.

Challenge of the Day
Materials: pj's, story book, table
Read a book in your pj's under the table! Have fun!

Question of the Day
Can you find items in your house that rhyme? For example "socks and clocks"
Make a list and draw the items in your journal. Can you sound out the words?

  4. Parker's favourite place to read is on his bed. He sits with his favourite stuffed penguin, who is name Ping-u. Parker says "I like to sit up or lie down on my tummy. I like having blankets and "stuffies" around me."
