Learning Intentions for the week - Early Literacy
1. I can recall events and characters in familiar stories read aloud by others.
2. I can begin to use language prediction skills when stories are read aloud.
3. I can use drawings to illustrate ideas and information, and talks about them.
Learning Intentions for the week - Mathematics
1. I can say the number sequence 1 to 10 by 1s, starting anywhere from 1 to 10 and from 10 to 1.
2. I can represent and describe numbers 2 to 10, concretely and pictorially
Literacy Activity
Materials - White Visual Journal, pencil and crayons/pencil crayons
Listen to the Story : Goldilocks and The Three Bears
Listen to Goldilocks and The Three Bears. Once the story is over draw a line down the middle of the journal and one in the middle. You will have 4 boxes. Write first, next, then and last in the boxes (or 1, 2, 3, 4) then retell the story with drawings and/or words.
Math Activity
Materials - blue math notebook, pencil

Review of Instructions:
1. Print the number 6 at the top of your page
2. Draw 6 circles to represent 6 snowballs
3. Circle groups of 2 different sets of numbers to show how to make 6
4. Repeat the drawing of 6 snowballs as many times as the student can in order to represent different ways to make 6
Challenge of the Day:
Build a maze with any items you can find in your house.
