Please note: We are hoping to see pictures of all our Kindergarten friends hard at work at home. If you have not emailed a picture of your child to your child's responsibility teacher, could you please do so by end of day Tuesday, April 7.  Thank you to many of our friends who have sent us pictures of all the interesting learning they are doing while at home.

Literacy
Materials - blue journal, pencil, pencil crayons

What is a character?

Today we are going to listen to the story, The Three Little Fish and The Big Bad Shark and then draw the characters in your blue journal. What do you notice about the characters today? Is there anything the same about them and the characters from "The Three Little Pigs" story yesterday? What is different about the characters in the 2 stories?

Please remember your 5 Star drawing when you do your drawings.

Listen to: The Three Little Fish and The Big Bad Shark

Math
Materials - Number line, items to build towers (lego, blocks, coins, etc)

Number Tower Video: Number Towers

Number Towers
Using your number line, build number towers that represent the numerals from 1-10. Start at one and then build up to 10.

Extension: How many ways can you add up to ten? Create addition sentences (4+6 =10) after you have created your towers. You can write them in your math book or just make groups with your blocks to try and make 10. After you make your group state, " 4 and 6 make 10". What numbers add up to 10? Can you add two numbers together to make 10? 3 numbers? 4 numbers?

Challenge of the Day:
Materials - various items in your home

Build a rainbow. Create a rainbow with using a variety of items in your home.
