Using your number line, build number towers that represent the numerals from 1-10. Start at one and then build up to 10.
Extension: How many ways can you add up to ten? Create addition sentences (4+6 =10) after you have created your towers. You can write them in your math book or just make groups with your blocks to try and make 10. After you make your group state, " 4 and 6 make 10". What numbers add up to 10? Can you add two numbers together to make 10? 3 numbers? 4 numbers?
