Just as a reminder, we are putting up these activities as suggestions for what you may choose to do with your child at home. There is NO expectation that any or all are completed each day (on time).
We understand that these are challenging times and each family needs to choose what works best for them. Above all, we just want to make sure our students are happy and healthy and have some learning activities to enjoy with you at home.
Please note that all teacher read alouds are now listed at the top of our blog page, along with some websites to check out.
In reference to your student's CBE ID, password and educbe.ca email accounts, please be patient as we are still waiting for all students in Kindergarten to receive their educbe.ca accounts. We will send it out as soon as it becomes available to us. Thank you for your understanding.

Listen to the story "Pete the Cat and His Four Groovy Buttons" - either try this link or look on you tub by searching for the same book title. Draw a picture of Pete the Cat, don't forget to add his buttons! Try and write the words "Pete the Cat" to go with your drawing. Please remember your 5 Star drawing!
Math
Materials: Deck of Cards
Put Numbers In Order
Your child can use cards to practice counting and ordering numbers correctly. If it is tricky, try using just a few numbers to order at a time. If it is easy, your child can time themselves and see how fast they can put a larger group of cards into numerical order. Can they put them in decreasing order?
Challenge of the Day
Materials - be creative and use what you have at home!
Build a bridge. Find 3 small toys and balance them on your bridge.
Question of the Day
Can you find 5 or more items in your house that begin with the same letter as the first letter in your name. Draw them and try and sound out the words in your blue journal.
