Please remember to draw a picture as you solve and write out the addition sentence.
Mrs. Conley and her family went for a walk in the park on Monday. They were looking for signs of Spring. Mrs. Conley saw 1 robin, Mr. Conley saw 1 robin, Dylan saw 1 robin and Leah saw 1 robin. How many robins did the Conley family see on their walk?
If that was too easy give this one a try:
On Tuesday we went for a walk again. This time Mrs. Conley saw 2 robins, Mr. Conley saw 2 robins, Dylan saw 2 robins and Leah saw 2 robins. How many robins did we see?
And one more if you are looking for an extra challenge today!
Since the weather is so nice out, we went for a walk again on Wednesday. Today Mrs. Conley saw 1 robin, Mr. Conley saw 2 robins, Dylan saw 3 robins and Leah saw 4 robins. How many robins did the Conley family see on Wednesday?
