Kindergarten Mailbox


Be sure to check your mailbox this week - we have sent out a little surprise for all of our Kindergarten students! Please use it as a bookmark, or maybe even a travel companion for all the adventures you take during the last month of school.



There will also be a mailbox set up out in front of the school so you can "mail" us back with any drawings or letters that you have created and want to share with us and/or the school. We also hope to use our beautiful mailbox for future projects coming up in June for artwork drop off - more info and details to follow next week. 


*Please note that the mailbox will be available at the front of the school 
9:00am until 2:30pm daily 😊

Log into your Google Meet at the time of your session  (instructions below)  * If your teacher has not yet joined the google meet you will not be able to join. Happy Halloween!

Happy Halloween!  Kindergarten was very fun today.  All of our arrival centers were about Halloween. We printed halloween words, played bingo, roll and count game with rings, crafts etc. We loved seeing everyone dressed up in their costumes!  We drew pictures of ourselves in our Halloween costumes in our journals.  Some of us drew pictures of pumpkins, jack-o-lanterns, and trick or treating with our families.  We used Smarties to sort by color and graph the number of Smarties in the box.  Ask your child what color they had most in their box.  After students graphed their Smarties, they got to eat them.  This was the highlight of their day! All students had gym today with Mr. Der . What game did your child play today? Ask them to share. Students came home with overflowing colored folders.  Please empty the folders out and return them on Monday.  Every child has more book circles in their folders.  Thank you for continuing to read with your child and send the circles back.  We are

Learning Intentions for the Week -  Early Literacy   I can express ideas and develop my understanding by sharing personal experiences. I can identify my favourite stories and books. I can use drawings to illustrate ideas and information, and talk about them. Learning Intentions for the Week -  Numeracy / N umber Sense I can represent and describe numbers 2 to 10, concretely and pictorially. I can relate a numeral, 1 to 10, to its respective quantity. I can compare quantities 1 to 10, using one-to-one correspondence. We have continued to post a daily read aloud in the read aloud section which is located on the left hand side of the blogger.
