For this weeks google meet your child will participate in a scavenger hunt. During the chat, the teacher will hold up different letters and your child must go and find an item that begins with that letter. Your child does not have to prepare anything for this activity in advance.
We will also have crazy hat day for our google meets this week. Have your child wear or create a crazy hat to show to their friends during their meet time.

The Google Meet code to join a storytime with one of the teachers is storytime.

Literacy Task
Materials - blue journal, pencil, pencil crayons
1. Look at the picture below. What do you see?
2. Let's label at least 5 different objects in this picture (ie. colors, people, place, or things)
3. Copy and print the following repetitive sentences in your journal (5 lines).

I see a _____________.
I see a _____________.
I see a _____________.
Extra (see photo below): Can you make a new sentence with all the objects you labeled? Example. I see four (4) kids walking in green grass and there is a net.
Bonus: Can you name 5 objects that are green in this picture.
Math
Materials: sticks of various sizes
Gather sticks. Compare the lengths of the sticks. Put them in order from tallest to shortest. Add another stick. Can you figure out where to add the stick into the lineup of tallest to shortest?
Visit a pond over this week. Can you take a picture of something interesting you find while you are there? What animals do you see? What are they doing? Can you find a unique looking rock, stick or tree?

Lego Pond Challenge (optional)
Build something you would find at a pond out of Lego. If you don't have lego at home use loose parts. Have fun creating! :)
