The Google Meet code to join a storytime with one of the teachers is storytime.
If you plan to attend the storytime Google Meet, we ask that you please turn your microphone OFF as soon as you join the meet. We expect that there will be many Kindergarten friends who want to join and it can become very loud and distracting with so many friends all in the same Meet. Teachers will open the Google Meet 5 minutes prior to the story starting.
This week in Google Meet we would like your child to bring 5 examples of Environmental Print. Environmental print is the text that surrounds you child, that he/she sees regularly. Signs and logos on stores, bags, buildings, and product packaging become the text that children see daily and can begin to “read.” Please help your child to bring 5 items to the Google Meet. We will share these items and play a game with them.
- I can talk about and explain the meaning of my own pictures and print.
- I can use drawings to illustrate ideas and information, and talk about them.
- I can categorize objects and pictures according to visual similarities and differences.
- I can share ideas and information about topics of interest.
Environment and Community Awareness
- I can recognize changes in weather and some ways people and animals adapt to the seasons.
- I can recognize familiar animals and their characteristics and surroundings.
- I can describe a variety of homes for animals/birds .
Learning Intentions for the Week - Numeracy/ Number Sense

Math - 2 more 2 less
Materials- subitizing cards(made last week), number line (if needed)
** If you don't have the subitizing cards use a deck of card. Just take out the face cards out.
Use the subitizing cards (made previously) or use a deck of cards. Place them in a pile face down. Draw the top card and add or count on by 2. Then take that same number and subtract or take away 2.
To help support you with this, use your number line that you created before to help you count on and take away from the given number.
Extension - In your blue math journal, write addition and subtraction sentences for each card you pull. For example, you turn over a 7.
Write: 7+2= ____
7-2= _____
Extra Math Fun for Monday: Please watch Bunny video 1 and then watch Bunny Video 2
How many bunnies did Mrs. Conley see on her walk?
