Bugs, Bees, and other Buzzy Creatures
Math
Materials: paper or white journal, pencil, colors (this could be pencil crayons, markers or paint)
Today we are going to combine math and art. You can use the links provided under each bug or draw your own in your white journal. If you choose to use the pictures provided, please print them and have your child cut out the bug before gluing it into their journal. Once you have your bug shape, you will be creating a pattern on it. Does your bug have stripes or polka dots? How many colors are in your pattern? Can you use letters (such as AB) to name your pattern?
