Dear Parents and Guardians of Eric Harvie School Students:
With the end of the school year fast approaching, the staff understand how special and exciting this time is for all students. Even though we are apart we don’t want this year to be any different! We would still like to celebrate the amazing achievements of our incredible students and all of the work being done. We appreciate all of the support that you have given us through this ever-changing time.
We have gathered a few ideas as to how we might celebrate with everyone, and we would love to have some input from each of the students as part of our year end celebration. Our top 5 options are share below, and we would appreciate if parents would read through the options and pick one that best suits your family. After you have chosen an option, please email Jennele Coulson at jabaine@cbe.ab.ca with your top choice and you will receive an email back with further information. Please email Mrs. Coulson NO LATER Than Friday, May 29th. The last email account wasn’t receiving emails so we have extended the deadline.
Options:
1. Participate in a Google Meet that WILL BE filmed and recorded for a slideshow. The Meet will be short and will ask your student a question about the year and/or their learning.
2. Secretly film your student working at their workspace that they have set up at home. We would like this to be as real as possible (not staged). This will also be part of a slideshow.
3. Send in a cool photo/video from the school year
4. Receive a picture for your child to colour that will be animated and added to the slideshow. (this is a great option if you do not want your child to appear on the video)
5. Choose not to participate. (This is totally fine, no pressure)
ALL FILMING IS TO BE DONE IN LANDSCAPE please.
Thank you so much!
Eric Harvie School Staff
