In the story Up in the Garden and Down in the Dirt, it mentions "Bats swoop through the sunflowers, and I pluck June bugs from the basil until it's time for bed."
Let's see what we know about bats!
Materials: Journal, pencil, pencil crayons
Listen to the fiction story: Stellaluna

Once you have watched the fictional story, Stellaluna and watched the video or listened to a non fiction story about Bats, take out your journal and draw a picture of a bat. If you need help drawing a bat use the link below.

2) 10 bats were hanging in a tree. Some bats flew away. Now there are 3 bats in the tree. How many bats left the tree?
3) 1 bat has 2 ears. How many ears would you count on 7 bats?
4) There are 8 mama bats. Each of them is holding a baby bat. How many bats are there in all?
