This week at school our focus will be on building a "Kinder-garden" in the windows of the Kindergarten classroom(s). Each day will focus on a new aspect of the garden. Today is creepy crawlers day! We are excited to watch our garden grow this week!

Please note:  Each day we will focus on one element of the garden. You and your child are welcome to drop off the new item each day at the school mailbox, or you can wait until Friday to drop off your items, or your child may choose to only make one item for the garden (and that's ok!) and drop it off when completed.  As always, we want to provide options for our families so that you can choose what works best for you and your family. There is no pressure from us to have your child complete all the elements of the garden.

Mailbox is available daily out front of the school from 9:00am-2:30pm.

Math
Race to 20 Number Line Chalk Game

Here is a picture of how to play the game indoors. It was raining so I couldn't show how to play outside.

Draw a number line on the driveway with chalk or use a paper to draw it. If you have a deck of cards. Take out all the cards from 7-10 and face cards. Use only A-6 cards and then place them face down. Black cards mean subtract and red cards mean addition
If you are playing outside you can use your body to move and if playing inside use counters, rocks etc as your game pieces. The first player draws a card and if you if it is red, you move forward, if it is black you can't move forward. Once you have moved forward you will go forwards or backwards until the first player moves to 20.
