Tuesday December17

We made a Christmas present in our math journals by glueing in a pattern. We also practiced making patterns with actions.  Practice with your child at home and see if you can make a variety of patterns using actions.

AM- We went outside for gym. It was a beautiful day to get some fresh air. We had a fun time.

PM- kindergarten students went to the Choir's Winter Concert. The Grade 1-4 Choir students did an amazing job!

We introduced the letter K. What sound does it make? Can you find items at home that begin with k?

Tomorrow (Wednesday, Dec.18) Food Impact will be doing a short presentation and making a yogurt parfait with all of our Kindergarten students. Please note that the cost of the program is $5 per student which will be part of your kindergarten field trip fees. Unfortunately the fees are not available online yet to pay but should be in the new year. Please DO NOT send any money to school.

We will be using yogurt, bananas, berries, WOWBUTTER, oats, flaxseeds, chia seeds, hemp hearts, and honey. If your students have any allergies to these items, please let us know immediately. Please note that the WOWBUTTER contains soy.

On Thursday we will be challenging the students to make a trap to catch an elf. We are asking families to send some of the following paper towel rolls, cracker boxes, cereal boxes,  tinsel, bubble wrap, ribbon, bows etc.  If you could send them in on Thursday that would be greatly appreciated.

Reminder that Friday December 20th is a PD day for teachers.
